I felt bad for the victims but was glad it wasn’t going on in our little, quaint town, north of Tampa.
Upon returning home last night we discovered the gas tank door open on my Son’s truck..the gas cap missing and the guage way into “empty”.
I try to be an understanding and non judgemental person, but this has me fired up..we earn what we have and don’t go around stealing from other people who are also suffering because of rising gas and food prices, not to mention lack of work and a bad all around economy.
I know this will continue to occur, in part, based on the fact that the closest gas station is closed for remodeling and the people who sit at home, with barely even fumes in the tank..till they get gas money, then go to the gas station cause they can make it on fumes can’t do such any more, until the close station re-opens. What’s the next easiest thing to do? steal from people who are close.
People say desperate times call for desperat measures..but if you are in a situation where you can’t afford gas, don’t go stealing from others…get your ass walking…take the bus or ride a bike.
